Tiffani, The Office Informant:

How did I get here?

I am excited to share my first post with you. Embarking on this journey to write a blog and start a business is exciting, and the journey to get here is just as AMAZING.

I needed some inspiration so I decided to make beautiful downtown Jacksonville my office for the day.

As I sit and write this post, I am just days away from launching the business of my dreams. I can't believe it took me this long to get here. There is no doubt that any other timing would have been all wrong. Although the idea and passion has been there all along, the time for me is now!

“The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.”--Unknown

There are two qualities that I saw throughout my life and I latched onto them very early-- HARD WORK and CHANGE. These same two qualities provide the foundation for The Office Informant.

I am one of three children that was raised by my hard working mother. I watched my mom work retail, clean homes, care for other children, and care for the elderly all to make ends meet. Needless to say, you know where I get my work ethic. I am a self-proclaimed workaholic. Ok, maybe not quite self-proclaimed. My husband, daughter, friends, family...anyone who knows me really can tell you that I work a lot; sometimes too much. I'm working on that.

Like my mom, I worked and found myself in various jobs. I have worked retail, restaurants and other odd jobs until I found my passion in college career services and eventually transitioned into a career in Human Resources. In the process of finding myself, I moved a good bit too. I enjoyed transition and the adventure that each new change brought. Over time, I learned to navigate it well or take a good licking and learn from my missteps.

The Office Informant is all about navigating transitions and helping others take steps into building the careers they want for themselves. I look forward to sharing more of my journey!

If you find that you are in a transitional period in your career and would like support throughout the change, I would love to hear from you. Contact me: tiffani@theofficeinformant.com!
